A supporter remembered: Catherine Harrisson
19th January 2015
Catherine Harrisson, who recently passed away, was a founding committee member of UK Youth's flagship event, Art for Youth London and a long-term supporter of the charity.
Catherine will be remembered with great affection for her charm, dry wit and brilliant leadership in setting up the art exhibition and liaising with many artists.
As well as supporting the development of Art for Youth London, Catherine ran a small business called Aquarelle - which bought and sold 19th century watercolours - with fellow committee member and UK Youth's Vice-President, Elisabeth Rutherford and Rosalie Harvey Watt.
Catherine contributed an enormous amount to UK Youth's work and leaves behind an incredible legacy. 28 years after its inception, Art for Youth London continues to be UK Youth's most important fundraiser and in this time and has raised over £2 million to provide critical support to young people across the country.
